SMS Communications — Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Daybreak Church SMS communications program. By opting in to receive text messages from Daybreak Church, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before subscribing.

1. Program Description
Daybreak Church operates an SMS messaging program to communicate with congregation members, visitors, and ministry partners who have opted in to receive text messages. Messages sent through this program may include:
• Worship service times, locations, and schedule updates
• Event announcements, invitations, and reminders
• Volunteer opportunities and sign-up confirmations
• Prayer encouragement and devotional content
• Giving reminders and stewardship communications
• Emergency notifications and weather-related service changes
• First-time visitor and new member follow-up messages
This program is operated by Daybreak Church and is provided for ministry and community communication purposes only. It is not a commercial messaging service.
2. Eligibility
To participate in this SMS program, you must:
• Be 13 years of age or older
• Be the account holder or have permission from the account holder for the mobile number provided
• Reside in the United States
• Have a mobile device capable of receiving SMS text messages
By opting in, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements above.
3. How to Opt In
You may enroll in the Daybreak Church SMS program through any of the following methods:
• Submitting your mobile phone number via the connection or contact form on our website
• Completing a physical connection card at a Daybreak Church service or event
• Texting a designated keyword to the Daybreak Church SMS number
By enrolling through any of these methods, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Daybreak Church at the mobile number provided. Consent is not a condition of membership or participation in any church program.
4. Message Frequency & Content
Message frequency varies based on church season, events, and ministry needs. You can typically expect to receive 2–6 messages per month. During special seasons such as Easter, Christmas, or church-wide campaigns, message frequency may temporarily increase.
Daybreak Church reserves the right to send messages at any time deemed appropriate for ministry communication purposes. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid messaging outside of normal hours.
5. Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply to all SMS messages sent and received through this program. These charges are assessed by your mobile carrier and are not controlled by Daybreak Church. Daybreak Church does not charge any fee for participation in this SMS program.
Please contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan and any applicable charges.
6. How to Opt Out
You may cancel your subscription to Daybreak Church SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:
• Reply STOP to any text message you receive from Daybreak Church
• Contact us directly at info@daybreakchurch.org with your request
• Call or visit the church office during business hours
After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message: “You have been unsubscribed from Daybreak Church SMS messages. You will receive no further messages. Reply START to re-subscribe.” Please allow up to 24 hours for your opt-out to be fully processed.
Opting out of SMS messages does not affect your church membership or participation in other Daybreak Church communications such as email or in-person contact.

Upon replying HELP, you will receive a message with program information and contact details for further assistance.
8. Privacy & Data Use
Your mobile phone number and personal information are collected and used in accordance with the Daybreak Church Privacy Policy, available at www.daybreakchurch.org/privacy-policy. By participating in this SMS program, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
Daybreak Church does not sell, rent, trade, or share your mobile phone number or personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Your information is used solely to deliver the SMS communications described in these Terms.
9. Supported Carriers
This SMS program is compatible with most major US mobile carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost Mobile, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and Virgin Mobile. Carrier support is not guaranteed for all devices or plans. Daybreak Church is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to carrier limitations.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Daybreak Church SMS program is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. Daybreak Church makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, timeliness, or uninterrupted availability of the SMS service. We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered without delay or error.
Daybreak Church is not responsible for any technical failures, network outages, or carrier-related issues that may result in delayed or undelivered messages.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Daybreak Church, its staff, volunteers, and ministry partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation in or inability to participate in the SMS program, including but not limited to:
• Delayed or undelivered messages
• Errors or omissions in message content
• Unauthorized access to your mobile number or account
• Any reliance placed on information received through this program
In no event shall Daybreak Church’s total liability to you exceed the amount you paid, if any, to participate in this program.
12. Modifications to These Terms
Daybreak Church reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website at www.daybreakchurch.org/terms with a revised effective date. Your continued participation in the SMS program following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
We may also notify you of material changes via SMS. If you do not agree with any changes, you may opt out of the program at any time by replying STOP.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your participation in the Daybreak Church SMS program shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [County] County, Florida.
