PASTOR MICHELLE ALEXANDER
Michelle’s passion for serving others began early, inspired by her family’s commitment to community service. After immigrating from Great Britain as a teenager, she learned to trust God through the challenges of starting over. She volunteered with groups such as Mercer Bear Buddies, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Broward Outreach Center.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Mercer University and worked at a Crisis Intervention Center, supporting individuals facing suicide risk, sexual assault, domestic violence, and mental health challenges. She later taught safety programs to children and served as an elementary school teacher with the Broward County School Board.
Michelle has been married for over twenty years to Reverend Alan Alexander, Senior Pastor of Daybreak Assembly, and together they lead marriage workshops and retreats. As an ordained minister and Co-Pastor, she has served in multiple ministries, founded the Dance & Drama Ministry, and now oversees teams and events as Church Administrator. She is also a registered Premarital Course Provider.
For more than two decades, Michelle has mentored and counseled women in areas such as spiritual growth, marriage, and relationships. She created a small-group mentoring program and is expanding it to reach younger students. Her women’s initiatives—Vessels of Honor, Tabitha Time, and the annual Denim and Diamonds event—equip, encourage, and celebrate women.
A longtime lover of the arts, Michelle founded Beyond Performing Arts Camp to give children and teens opportunities to explore creativity, build confidence, and develop positive character traits.
She enjoys time with family and friends, traveling, painting, writing, baking, and a good movie, and desires to see people fulfill their God-given purpose.
